Jeans have been a closet staple for many decades and will continue to be an important garment in the fashion industry for decades to come. With so many different styles, colors, and brands it can be hard to find the perfect fit for your body type. Well, I’m here to tell you, I found the perfect pair!

J.Crew has been one of my favorite stores for years. Their classic, timeless styles and quality truly make a great name for themselves. I tried their denim for the first time a couple years ago and fell in love with this one particular style. They are high-waisted, have a little bit of stretch, are available in “tall” & “petite”, are the perfect shade of dark denim, make your bum look ah-mazing, they suck everything in and the best part…one pair lasts for many seasons! As you can see, I could go on and on and on about these, but I’ll share some of my favorite details with y’all.

J.Crew recently came out with an updated version of the style which includes “perfecting pockets”. This feature is genius. The pockets are very slim and are designed to suck everything in around your lower belly area. Think how Spanx make you feel and that’s the same feeling you’ll get with this new style.

Fun Fact: When you try on jeans, put on the tightest pair you can get on your body and buy those! Jeans stretch out quite a bit, even after you wash them, so you want to make sure you’re buying your correct size.

They have this style in regular, petite and tall, as well, so no matter how tall or short you may be, there is a perfect length for you! I usually buy the tall length because I will roll the hem up once to cuff them. I think the cuff looks cute with booties and flats, so I wear them like this often. Be careful with cuffing the hem though – sometimes this can make your legs look shorter than they actually are!

Washing details: I wash mine with the dark load on cold and hang them to dry. You could dry them in the dryer, but they’re 77% cotton so they’ll definitely shrink. I recommend just hanging them to dry every time! Also, make sure not to wash your denim every time you wear them. This helps maintain the quality and the dye used to produce the right shade. I usually wash my denim after 5-7 wears.
